Staying in the Tourist Corridor

Coastline between Cabo and San Jose del Cabo

The tourist corridor is strategically located between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, making it convenient to access both towns. This means you can easily explore the attractions, dining options, and activities in both areas without having to travel far.

The tourist corridor is known for its upscale resorts and hotels, offering luxurious amenities such as spas, golf courses, and  stunning beaches that are often less crowded than those in Cabo San Lucas or San Jose del Cabo. Most beaches along the corridor are not safe for swimming but some, like the Hilton Los Cabos, have breakwaters that create safe havens for ocean swimming. You'll also find both Santa Maria and Chileno beaches here – famous for their usually calm waters and excellent snorkeling.

While Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo can be bustling with tourists and activity, the tourist corridor offers a more tranquil atmosphere. This stretch of coastline offers a wide range of dining options, from casual beachside cafes to gourmet fine dining establishments.

Overall, staying in the tourist corridor of Los Cabos provides a perfect balance of convenience, luxury, and tranquility, making it an ideal choice for travelers looking to experience the best of what the region has to offer.

FIND YOUR TOURIST CORRIDOR HOTEL

Know before you book! Use the map below to check out the location of the hotels or resorts you're considering for your stay in the tourist corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. You'll see our list of hotels and resorts includes a location along the main highway, the Transpeninsular Hwy 1 (carreterra transpeninsular) marked by the kilometer (Km) from the end of that highway in Cabo San Lucas. The lower the Km, the closer to Cabo you are and vice-versa. Getting around Los Cabos from the corridor area means taxi rides, Uber or renting a car for your stay. Public transport buses are another option to get around.

A couple of our favorites along this stretch of coastline include Dreams Los Cabos and the Hilton Los Cabos, the latter for its beautiful and usually swimmable beach and wonderful pools. We've always loved the service and feel of both these resort hotels and with recent renovations they are better than ever.
